As Sales and Estimating Engineer, your key responsibility will be to provide the technical input required to produce quotations for cutting-edge technical solutions. Reporting to our Engineering and Quality Manager and operating at all levels, you will fully support the development of the business and the achievement of our key performance measures, finding opportunities, compiling quotes and presenting them to existing and potential customers. Helping with the preparation of customer bid packages, as Sales and Estimating Engineer, you will also help with the development and implementation of a standard quotation framework. That will entail managing customer expectations effectively, in addition to:
• facilitating the migration of initial quotation packages through to manufacture;
• leading on NPI projects;
• cradle-to-grave project planning; 
• create all engineering ERP data; and
• problem-solving during manufacturing. 

Educated at least to HNC / NVQ level in a relevant technical discipline, you have an extensive precision engineering manufacturing background, underpinned by significant project planning, technical quotation estimating and customer-facing experience. A strong change agent, able to interpret technical drawings and documents in a technically complex environment, you are a real team player with first-class, all-round communication skills who is able to self-direct and manage your own workload. Your methodical and analytical approach complements confident decision-making and questioning techniques, in addition to: 
• the flexibility to support the needs of the business;
• computer-literacy, especially on Excel;
• willingness to own problems; and
• the ability to travel if required.
