Whitgift Care is an integral part of The Whitgift Foundation and has been since John Whitgift, The Archbishop of Canterbury, laid his founding stone more than 400 years ago at The Hospital of the Holy Trinity, now known as the Whitgift Almshouses. With a real sense of community, Whitgift Care offers a wide range of services for the elderly from independent sheltered living at the Almshouses and Whitgift House flats, residential care at Wilhelmina House to full nursing care at Whitgift House.
We are looking for caring individuals who like working with the elderly to join our team of Care Officers. Working a variety of shifts covering weekdays and weekends, you will provide support and social activities for our 50 sheltered residents located at the Almshouses and in our sheltered flats at Whitgift House. The role will also provide support to elderly members of the community who access our day care services at our two care homes.
The ideal candidate will have a background of working with the elderly and experience of organising a variety of interesting and enjoyable social activities and events. You will share our core values of respect, dignity and privacy for our residents, and be able to communicate with a wide range of people including residents, family members, GPs, and other health care professions, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
