Contract Type
Full Time

We are proud of the support we provide to adults with learning disabilities and of the greater independence and involvement in community activities they have developed as a result. We believe in providing support in a person centred way that focuses on the qualities of each individual. If you feel you can support vulnerable adults who may have a range of learning and physical disabilities and mental health needs, including some with challenging behaviour, whilst respecting their independence, then PLUS could be the place for you.

You will be based in one of our services in Lewisham, Croydon or Southwark.

Full time staff must be prepared to work a 38 hour shift system that includes weekends and sleep-in or waking night requirements. You must also be physically capable of pushing wheelchairs and supporting service users who may be physically dependent. Whilst previous experience and a Diploma in Health & Social Care would be desirable; having an appropriately supportive attitude and being willing to help each individual to maximise their lives is more important. In return we offer opportunities for professional development and real job satisfaction. We can help you to develop your professional skills and knowledge and progress toward recognised qualifications whilst providing a truly worthwhile service.

If you cannot commit to full time but can offer regular support around your other responsibilities then we can offer opportunities for bank work to fit in with your availability. However you should be able to work the full range of shifts, including sleep in when you are available.
