The Employability team is looking for individuals to join the team as Employment Advisors to prepare and transition employability clients into the world of work.
What is an Employment Adviser?
An Employment Adviser works with long term unemployed individuals, supporting them into a suitable and sustainable professional pathway, either education, employment, or an apprenticeship. You will work to build up routes of job seeker referrals from within the community you are working in and then will provide bespoke support to individuals, dependent on needs. You will create an action plan with the client and identify their barriers to employment as well as their strengths and ambitions through empowering interactions tailored to their needs.
An effective Employment Advisor knows the importance of gaining client trust, building confidence, and working collaboratively to set and achieve their goals.
Understanding how to change hearts and minds, and develop individuals so that they can reach their desired goals is very important. You may not have immediate experience in this industry but have the transferable skills to positively affect the people we are currently supporting.
