Social Worker - Children & Adults
Our client's in East London are recruiting for an Social Worker - Children & Adults - with proven experience of developing appropriate care/protection plans to ensure statutory duties are met and support the achievement of quality standards and practice development. The role involves regular direct work, joint working, home visits and reflective sessions with clients, colleagues and partners.
Qualification - Essential
Degree in Social Work or CQSA, Dip SW, CS
Skills, Abilities & Experience - Essential
Proven Child Protection experience including referral assessment
Must have recent hands on experience of directly working with families
Proven knowledge and application of relevant childcare legislation and associated policies and frameworks to inform Social Work practice.
Must demonstrate and apply in practice a working knowledge of child development, family dynamics, current Social Work research and theories.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to evidenced based practice
Able to form a quick and effective working relationship with service users, partner agencies and other professionals.
Must be able to provide literate and well-written reports
Experience of working with other agencies and disciplines.
Experience of, and commitment to, multi-disciplinary working, particularly in a health environment.
Experience of working in community based services for vulnerable people.
Experience of writing complex care plans, analysing cases in relation to Fair Access to Care Services.
Experience of working successfully in a demanding environment, combined with an ability to resolve completing deadlines.
Experience of providing information and presenting legislation in terms that can be easily understood by service users and carers.
Experience of working with families as well as individuals.
Must have a valid driving licence and use of own car desirable.
Ability to work in a flexible manner individually and within team framework.
A flexible approach to working hours, including attendance at meetings outside standard ‘office hours
