Site Health and Safety Manager Chatham, Kent c£50,000 Car/Car Allowance Our International printing client is recruiting a permanent Health and Safety Manager based at their site in Chatham, Kent. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will have overall responsibility for the Health and Safety systems and procedures for both the Chatham and Croydon sites. The Job Working core hours of Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.30pm, your responsibilities will include; - Overseeing all Health and Safety aspects for the site in Chatham and Croydon - Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines - Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety - Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law - Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention - Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations - Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions - Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes - Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures - Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics The Candidate We are looking for candidates with the following skills, experiences and qualifications; - IOSH and or NEBOSH qualification - Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager - Comfortable being hands on and on the shop floor daily - Proactive approach to work - Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines - Ability in producing reports and developing and implementing relevant policies - Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment - Excellent organizational and motivational skills - Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability - Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities The Benefits - c£50,000 per annum (depending on experience) - Option of company car or car allowance - 28 days holiday a year (including bank holidays) - Private medical insurance - Contributory pension scheme - Health care contribution
