Assembly Technician Do you want to work for a leading engineering company? Role Purpose: To build a range of Company products to an acceptable standard, following and adhering to written procedures within agreed timescales. - Manufacturing assemblies and sub -assemblies to Company and Client documentation - Support the department supervisor in meeting the departments order demand. - Contribute to continuous improvement with regard to manufacturing processes - Support the department supervisor with team development and training other team members. - Be able to follow engineering drawings, mechanical assembly procedures and work to tight tolerances. - Ensure documentation is fully completed and presentable to Clients. - Ownership of specific deliverables. Duties and Responsibilities: - Support both on and off site manufacturing and testing in line with production plans. - Assist with Client surveillance visits. - Prepared to travel and work outside normal hours to meet the needs of the Company. - Working with hazardous materials - Ability to work methodically and to agreed timescales. Key Performance Indicators: - Departmental dashboard. - All processes carried out to latest approved procedures and documentation completed. Competencies, Qualifications Knowledge, Experience and Skills - Qualifications or experience in precision mechanical assembly and fitting, including brazing - Understanding of specifications, engineering drawings and principles. - Good problem solving and team working skills, able to work under own initiative. - Full clean driving licence.
