For this Science Teacher role, you must have QTS and experience teaching students up to KS4 level and preparing them for their Science GCSE or Functional Skills. Alongside teaching Science, part of this role will require you to teach Maths as and when needed.The ideal Science teacher:Can teach Science up to GCSE levelHas at least 1 years' experience teaching Science in a PRU, Alternative Provision or mainstream secondary schoolCan use a range of behaviour management techniquesHas positive handling trainingHas experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in mainstream or a PRU settingHas QTSThis is an Alternative Provision based in the London Borough of Croydon which has recently opened. The company has been running a mentoring program for students within mainstream schools who were at risk of exclusion and has now opened a school dedicated to re-integrating students back into mainstream education. The school caters for up to 15 students providing a high amount of 1:1 support and a 2:1 ratio of staff to students in all sessions. This role would be ideal for a mainstream Science teacher looking to work within SEN/SEMHD or someone who has experience working within a PRU and is looking for an exciting new venture.The position will be to start in September and the school are looking to interview ASAP for the role.
