For this Mathematics Teacher role, you must have QTS and experience teaching students up to GSCE Mathematics. If you have experience leading functional skills then this will also be part of the role as many students will not sit their GCSEs in English/Maths but will complete functional skills instead.The ideal Mathematics teacher:Has experience teaching a range of Special NeedsCan use a range of behaviour management techniquesHas taught Mathematics up to GCSE levelHas experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in Special needs school or a PRU settingHas QTSThis school has 5 sites that all cater for a range of different needs including SEMHD, ASD and PMLD. This role will be based on the SEMHD site for secondary aged students and therefore will require someone who has had experience planning and delivering sessions for students with emotional needs. The Head teacher trains all her staff in PRICE (positive handling) and offers management training for eligible candidates.The position will be to start in September and the school would like to meet potential candidates as soon as possible.
