Teacher training programme - Primary SEN roles Government funded course - Become a qualified teacher after two years Locations: Placements in Croydon & Wandsworth Course start: September Daily pay: £64.50 net pay What the programme entails Work as a paid teaching assistant for two years, full time in a primary school as either a general teaching assistant or as an SEN teaching assistant. Whilst you work, you will also be training to become a qualified teacher online in your own time. You'll have a laptop which will be given to you in order to complete your studies. You will have a mentor that will guide you through your training, whom you will have 24hr access to, via phone calls, and monthly school visits. Whilst working in the school you will begin to take on more responsibility throughout the months, eventually teaching for a few hours weekly, preparing you to become a teacher. At the end of the two year programme you will complete with a QTLS teaching qualification which is a government accredited teaching qualification which qualifies you to work as a teacher.
