Are you looking for a long-term Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role in a well-run and supportive primary?

Can you commit to position starting in September for the whole of the academic year?

This Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role is based in a small, community primary. The role begins in September and runs all the way through to July 2018. The school will offer you ongoing support and training to ensure you develop professionally and feel a valued and important member of the team.

*** Weekly pay - GBP60-GBP75 per day dependent on experience

*** Graduate only role - Must have a strong academic background and a degree of 2:2 or above

As the successful applicant to this Teaching Assistant role you must be caring and patient whilst always maintaining a professional approach. The role will be varied and require you to think on your feet and be proactive in your approach. You will be extensively supported by the leadership team and your fellow colleagues in providing consistent and high-quality care for all students within the school.

The child you will be supporting has autism and can find the school environment challenging and restrictive at times. You will be on hand to help them integrate as much as possible but also recognise when time away from the classroom is required and provide tailored 1-2-1 support to ensure their development is ongoing and as far reaching as possible.

To be successful in your application you must be a graduate with a degree of 2:2 or above and a strong academic background. Previous experience of supporting school aged children or those with SEN is preferred though applications will be considered from those without, providing you can evidence a long-term ambition to work within an educational setting.
