1st Line Support Engineer - 6 month contract, Ashford, £17k pro rata. 1st Line Support Engineer - 6 month contract, Ashford, £17k pro rata. My client, a large and expanding, global hardware & software provider based in Ashford, Kent, are looking for 2 new 1st Line Support Engineer's to work on a 6 month contract with the potential for a permanent role at the end of it if successful. You will be providing frontline product/solution support to the company's customer base; resolving customer queries and promoting excellent customer service both internally and externally. You will be the first point of contact for all customers for product/solution support and will be logging support cases on a support database. You will be responsible after training for resolving customer queries on products/solutions and will refer to the technical support team as required. You will be supporting the business by ensuring excellent customer service internally and externally, while accurately updating and maintaining internal records and systems. Required Knowledge and skills: - GCSE level qualification passes to include English and Mathematics (essential). - Ability to work logically, being accurate and thorough, paying attention to detail. - Able to work effectively both as part of a team or as an individual. - Self motivated and reliable. - Ability to be objective and think outside of the box. - Willing to be responsible, take ownership and use own initiative. - Not afraid of suggesting change. - Ability to multi-task, particularly under pressure, often to tight deadlines and within SLA's. - Ability to establish time requirements and set customer expectations accordingly. - Proficient in Word and Excel. As a 1st Line Support Engineer on a 6 month contract with this client you will earn a pro rata salary of in excess of £17,000 and will be paid weekly.
