The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 9 month temporary contract based Outer London/Croydon. The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance. If you do not possess the clearance level requested then you must be willing to apply for a Disclosure of Scotland on CV submission. Please Note: This assignment sits outside of IR35. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: • Please ensure you submit your candidate with their full name as this appears on their passport. • Please note that the successful candidate will need to undergo a new application or transfer of current government held SC Clearance and be confirmed as Security Cleared with the Home Office before a candidate can start on site. Please ensure your candidate is eligible and willing to apply for SC Clearance prior to submission. Candidate will need to have been in the UK for 5 years or more. Please note that if a current government held clearance has not been used for 12 months or more, this will have lapsed and the candidate will require to undergo a new application for Security Clearance. Job Description: Effectively leading; managing; and resourcing the finance team including any significant external supplier of services. Ensuring that a proper set of accounts is kept and an accurate record of all transactions taking place in accordance with proper accounting and statutory requirements; including the production of year end accounts. Maintaining and achieving the performance indicators agreed for the finance team; in relation to the effective management of budgets and assets. Managing and overseeing the accounting system i.e. nominal and sub ledgers. Making sure that adequate systems of control are in place including reasonable segregation of duties. Ensuring that all necessary reconciliations are carried out on a monthly and annual basis as required. Managing and maintaining accurate fixed asset accounting and effective control of those assets. 1. University Degree or professional financial qualification. . Commercial management 3. Knowledge of commercial issues associated with IT systems, projects and operations. 3. Good verbal and written communications skills, able to interact with senior internal stakeholders and supplier management. 4. Knowledge of relevant procurement and contract financial regulations 5. Detailed Defined outputs/deliverables in the engagement • Lead and manager the development of a charging model for multiple users of biometric capability • Create appropriate and effective documentation to support tendering activity, including, financial models, financial schedules and pricing mechanisms • Develop compliant and commercially sound contract documentation, including key contractual terms and price reduction mechanisms • Support the procurement evaluation by developing methodologies, participating in evaluation panels and providing specific expert appraisals and analyses • Assess and support the development of the financial risk and financial exposure positions within new contracts. • Develop and deliver knowledge sharing plan Commercial and financial expertise to carry out associated activities.
