Department for Transport Digital Architect Hastings GBP46,696 - GBP53,700 and London GBP50,696 - GBP57,506 London & Hastings Can you help us shape and deliver the Department for Transport's (DfT) exciting new Digital Service? Does the opportunity to define and embed digital architecture within the Department for Transport excite you? If so, this Digital Architect opportunity is for you. As our Digital Architect, you will lead the department's software and applications strategies, policies and standards, whilst supporting the development of digital projects and leading their architectural design. You will be responsible for defining a set of software and application development principles and setting out the standards for the new software development team. You will strive to design solutions with the department's long term interests in mind, ensuring value for money is delivered and adoption for digital is integrated with the wider Department for Transport strategy. As Digital Architect, you can expect to •Be responsible for producing and maintaining DfT's digital and application architecture strategy •Lead, developing and applying DfT's digital and application architecture policies and standards •Actively collaborate with a network of peers across the DfT family, adopting and applying broader Government's digital and application architecture strategies, policies and standards in a consistent way •Designing digital application solutions that are optimised for sustainable future change •Maintaining digital and application architecture awareness across the DfT family, ensuring alignment and anticipating future needs •Be the subject matter expert for digital and application architecture •Ensuring our software development resources have a good awareness and understanding of the latest technologies About you You will be adept at discussing technical matters and will use this skill, and your personable approach, to successfully and confidently liaise with colleagues and stakeholders.
