We are looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join one of our partner school in Brentwood.

*** Fixed Term, Full-Time position (October 2017 - July 2018)
*** Pay rate of GBP60 - GBP70 daily
*** Prior experience or a passion for working with SEN children essential
*** Familiarity with PECs, Makaton or BSL preferred
*** Must hold a minimum second-class degree

This role would ideally suit a competent graduate with a long-term ambition to become a SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist or SENCo. To be considered for this role you must be a patient and reliable Learning Support Assistant with a second-class degree or higher. The SENCo is looking for a graduate who is able to display a naturally caring attitude and the ability to empathise with their pupils.

As a specialist SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school. You will be working with struggling pupils or those who have become stifled by the curriculum, helping them meet their potential through smaller booster groups and 1:1 sessions. A major part of the Learning Support Assistant role will be support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, working closely with the SENCO to monitor and advance developments in both academic and social areas.
